Love has a funny way of bringing people together, even across state lines. Ashton and Willie’s love story is a testament to the magic of serendipity and the beauty of fate. Though they lived miles apart—she in Northeast Texas and he in Northeast Arkansas—their paths crossed. It was at a convention-style internship in Little Rock. From that moment, their lives changed forever.
Willie asked Ashton out to eat Mexican food, she hesitated, admitting she didn’t have enough money. But, Willie quickly clarified that it wasn’t just a casual meal; he was asking her on a date. Her response was priceless: “Oh, well yeah!” That first date marked the beginning of their beautiful journey together.
Fast forward to Valentine’s Day, a little over two years into their relationship. Willie planned a romantic picnic. He was very particular about what was going down, asking if she would wear a dress. Their wedding day was on a beautiful sunny day in Arkansas. They exchanged vows at The Barn at Fawn Hollow in Quitman, with the ceremony set against the serene backdrop of a large, picturesque pond. As a result, creating a tranquil and romantic atmosphere for their “I do’s.” I must say, it was perfect for their special day.
After the ceremony, the celebration continued in the barn, which radiated rustic charm. Guests were treated to a creative nacho bar and an array of charcuterie board delights. Ensuring everyone had something delicious to snack on. The vibe was warm, inviting, and filled with laughter as the newlyweds mingled with their loved ones.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, we snuck away for breathtaking sunset photos. We tried to capture the golden glow of the day’s joy. Amid this serene moment, Ashton’s excitement bubbled over. She got upset because we could hear the music playing. It is one of her requested songs, “Hot To Go” by Chappell Roan. She said they’d just have to dance to it again because she was determined to hit the dance floor for that song! They ended the night dancing away on the dance floor with family and friends.
