Elopement-Inspired Photos of Marissa and Monterio’s Engagement

On October 25, 2024, Marissa and Monterio brought their love story to life with an elopement-inspired engagement session at the Bentonville Courthouse. It was beautifully captured by our photographer, Malachi. Their journey began online, but life kept them apart for nine months without much happening. Everything changed when Monterio moved to Fayetteville and asked Marissa on a date. Busy with work, she initially had to postpone, but fate had other plans. When they finally went on their first date, sparks flew, and just two weeks later, they officially became a couple.

First Look: Should You Have One Before Your Wedding Ceremony

The Hike of a Lifetime

After a year and three months of dating, Monterio planned a hiking trip that turned out to be a life-changing moment for them both. When he suggested a hiking trip to their favorite overlook, she didn’t think much of it. However, she sort of picked up on some of the hints when a friend asked before the “hiking trip” how her nails looked! Hahaha! Little did she know, Monterio had something extraordinary planned for that day. Now, the couple is preparing to say “I do” at the stunning Stone Chapel at MattLane Farm in Fayetteville, AR, and their love story is about to enter an exciting new chapter.

Elopement-Inspired Engagement Session

The lovely couple stunned us with their unique engagement session, embracing a playful and adventurous theme that truly captured their personalities. They wanted a few photos to feel as if they had just eloped and run away together, escaping into a world where only their love existed. With simple white cocktail dress, white button down, a bouquet, happy laughs, and loving looks, their photos captured a sweet and carefree love story.

We captured stunning photos in front of the Bentonville Courthouse, where the stairs perfectly complemented their outfits and overall look. Their bright, joyful smiles lit up every shot, and we loved how they thoughtfully prepared for this session. Adding to the charm, the sun cast a soft, golden glow, warmth, and a dreamy touch to their unforgettable session.

Elopement-Inspired

After that half of the session, they went to Crystal Bridges to get a few more photos in another outfit.  They looked absolutely perfect together! They created magic in their session, and it was such a joy to witness! I’m beyond excited to see how their wedding day photos turn out—it’s going to be incredible. Their wedding plans are so unique, and I can’t wait to share all the beautiful details from their special day!

Thank you, lovely couples for choosing us at Legend and Lace Studios for your unique Elopement-Inspired Engagement Session!
