Magical forest elopement started with mystery and a hint of adventure. It began with intense fog, and I could only see about ten car lengths ahead of me. After a 3.5-hour drive to the cabin, I was relieved when the fog did not last longer than 1 hour into the drive.
It was a magical forest elopement for Kelsey and Thomas’s wedding. Once I got within 30 minutes of the cabin, the rain started coming down. We were in the middle of a thunderstorm! Lightning, thunder, and rain were pouring down. It seemed I had to drive on the red clay dirt roads of AR in the middle of a monsoon.
But thankfully, by the time I arrived, the rain had cleared. We were happy it gave us a beautiful, rainy forest vibe for this amazing couple’s wedding day. This was a testament to Kelsey and Thomas’s resilience and love as they embraced the unexpected weather with open hearts.
Kelsey and Thomas rented the cutest A-frame home for their wedding, which was unique and adorable, perfectly complementing their laid-back personalities. To get to the house, guests crossed a swing bridge, which served as the center point of their intimate ceremony. Overall, it was an incredibly unique and intimate forest elopement set amidst the beauty of nature.
Their close family celebrated with them for their big day, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere. Additionally, because of the fantastic scenery, we had the cutest ceremony. The bride and groom photos were perfect and ideal, using the house and bridge as our primary focus.
Their ceremony was short and sweet; we moved on to family formals and bride and groom photos. Everyone gathered on the bridge for photos, resulting in stunning and memorable images. After we finished the photo ops, we went inside to cut the cake.
They struggled a bit to cut the cake since it was still frozen, but they still managed to pose for cute photos with their simple and rustic cake. Additionally, I captured more images of them with their family, who couldn’t help but laugh and chat like there was no tomorrow. After taking pictures of the family hanging out, it was finally time for me to head out.
I am grateful to have experienced this unique location for a simple, intimate, yet memorable day. The love and happiness in the air made the day magical. Kelsey and Thomas’s elopement was full of magic that could unfold, even in the face of unexpected weather. Again, Congratulations!
